The HS44 is a beared magnetically scanning hollow shaft incremental encoder - the magnetic scanning principle and the mechanical construction result in the following technical advantages with the same signal quality:
- Higher / highest reliability - since magnetic encoders are insensitive to the influences of dirt, dust, oil, moisture, etc., which can impair the function of optical encoders
- Higher shock and vibration resistance - no sensitive parts such as Incremental pulse disks made of metal / glass are used
- Robust - metal rotor and aluminum-metal housing with completely encapsulated electronics
- Long service life - use of generously dimensioned bearings with a long service life
- Adaptive electronics with diagnostics for continuous monitoring of the signals and help with the installation of the encoder
